Melissa. Thanks for your thoughtful response. I also breastfed for a long time. My son was big so it was pretty funny after 2. His legs draped. I met a few women later who said they’d seen me breastfeed in public and were so relieved. It gave them permission. There was a group in the neighborhood over who met at the fountain and all breastfed together — with a mixed public response. Lol. You’re so right. We’re prudes, but I think that’s why we oversexualize. We act like breasts are not normal. Because we’re prudish, to show them means you’re crossing a line. It’s one of the reasons I write and publish about breasts. I think breast stories are better in the hands of women not Maxim magazine. If you ever want to tell a breast story on my pub, let me know.
