I hated the 70s for this reason. I am so sorry this happened to you. It was so hard to know who to trust in this days. So many predators--so little talk about what a predator was, or who they could be. I think my sons pediatrician described the 70s as "My mom walked past by playpen through a baby bottle at it and left." I also grew up in an unsafe environment in the 70s and it defined me more than I wish, and I am sorry you carry this. It feels trite to say this, but your writing is great.
